Sparta Prague Open 2012

International women´s tournament 100 000 USD

Sparta Prague Open is part of the ITF women circuit and it is the biggest women´s tournament in the Czech Republic of 2012.

The 3rd Sparta Prague Open 2012 is from the 14th till 20th May at the tennis club Sparta.

Sparta Prague Open 2011

The second Sparta Prague Open 100.000USD took place in the tennis club Sparta Prague from the 7th till 15th May 2011.

Just players from the top 100 got into the main draw. „Cut off was 97, what is amazing for this kind of tournament.“ said the tournament director Petr Luxa.

During the whole tournament we had great weather, a lot of spectators and amazing tennis matches. We also had a tennis exhibition of former professional players and nowadays the best showmen on the tennis courts: Henri Leconte, Mansour Bahrami against Jiri Novak and Karel Novacek.

The first seeded player of the tournament was Petra Kvitova, who was at that time for the first time in the top ten. During the tournament she had a small injury and she lost in the finals against Magdalena Rybarikova.
